We offer two types of STI tests that you can carry out yourself in the comfort of your home:

If you’d like to be tested for a range of STIs, including chlamydia and gonorrhoea, you can order a free STI home test kit.

Fill out the questionnaire and you will be sent a test kit for you to carry out yourself in the comfort of your home. Simply follow the instructions on the kit and post it back in the box provided. We will then get in touch to let you know your test results.

If you’re aged 15 – 24 and live in Wolverhampton, you can order a free chlamydia and gonorrhoea test kit to be delivered to your home.

You can also pick up test kits at some GP practices and pharmacies, please check with your GP or nearest pharmacy first.

When your test kit arrives, simply follow the instructions and post it back in the box provided. Your results will be completely confidential and sent to you by text message or another preferred method.

  • The test is a self-taken sample. This is a urine sample for men and a self-taken vaginal swab for women
  • Test results are handled by our Health Advisor team who will contact you to let you know your result
  • All tests and results are strictly confidential and no one else is informed without your permission
  • If your result is positive, we can provide treatment which is simple and effective – usually just a single dose of antibiotics

Every area in the country has its own chlamydia screening programme.

Contact your local sexual health service to find about the service for your area.

You can still be tested for chlamydia and gonorrhoea at home, as well as other STIs. Order your home test kit here.
